Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) and Tang Eng, the two largest stainless steel producers in Taiwan have hiked its stainless steel prices for this January, driven by higher nickel prices.
Moreover, it’s said that the two stainless steel makers may hike the February prices further since the LME nickel prices have stayed firm recently.
Yusco's manager said the company's order received volumes in this January were higher than the volumes in last December. If Yusco increases its February prices, it may help the company to receive better sales profits in the first quarter of this year.
Besides, Tang Eng said that it has received better sales volumes since last December. The improved market situation is expected to help the company has better sales in the first quarter of this year.
